What is there to eat in the woods? Every season and landscape offers unique and nutritious plants to eat and use as medicine! Let’s go on a walk and learn about the most local, organic, and free plants in our area! 2 hours. Ages 10+
FROM TREE TO TABLE
There are wild edible plants almost everywhere you look throughout the year (even in winter). Let’s go for a walk and find some wild plants to eat to bring back to the kitchen for a wild meal! 5 hours. Ages 16+
After processing, acorns (the nuts of an oak tree) can be used to make delicious dishes that are also extremely nutritious. Come learn how to gather, preserve, process, and cook with this awesome wild food! My personal favorite wild edible plant. 2 ½ hours. Ages 8+
FORAGE & FIRE
Combining a wild plant walk and a fire building sampler class. We will spend the first half of the class learning about seasonal wild plants. The second half will be spent learning and trying different fire starting techniques. 3 hours. Ages 12+
