Join OWL EYES WILDERNESS SURVIVAL, LAND OF MILK AND HONEY HERBALISM, and MOOSE RIDGE WILDERNESS SCHOOL for a weekend full of plants! Camp in the beautiful mountains of Maine and learn how to connect with plants by foraging, making salves, making herbal medicine, and many crafts associated with plants. This weekend class is for adults, but minors ages 12+ are welcome with a parent. Morning coffee and dinner will be provided.

$450 a person.

Plant Self Reliance Weekend Upton, ME September 30-October 2 2022

This weekend class will be full of learning wilderness botanical medicine, discovering the many uses of plants through wildcrafting, making herbal medicine, and processing wild food from the landscape. Camp out in rural Maine with a group of like-minded folks sharing the same interest as you. Coffee and dinner will be provided. Campsites will be provided.

Skills covered: Herbal medicine making, wood carving, cordage from plants, crafting glue from pine resin, making herbal salves, foraging, and acorn processing. Many other skills experiences will be explored upon including survival skills. 

Mature minors welcome with a parent.
PRICING: $450 per student.

Meet Your Instructors

Grace Krupkowski
is a New England based herbalist, artist, and educator. Grace's passion for plants and their healing attributes began six years ago and has since developed into her small business "Land of Milk and Honey Herbalism" consisting of teaching classes, workshops, and curating small batch herbal remedies in her home kitchen. Grace strives to weave the power of personal agency, community, and the interdependence of humans with the natural world through herbalism. Her education and background stem from home experiential study to internships, courses with clinical herbalists and institutions nationwide.

Tim Swanson
is the founder of Owl Eyes Wilderness Survival, a nature connection and wilderness survival school for people of all ages. He holds a double Bachelor’s degree in Adventure Education Leadership and Adventure Therapy. He is a Level 1 Certified Animal Tracker and a Wilderness First Responder. Tim has practiced and taught survival skills in mountains, rainforests, and deserts for over 15 years. OEWS started because of his passion to educate our community about nature awareness, holistic health, and outdoor recreation through the practice of wilderness survival.
