RECOMMENDED Tools
The following list contains Owl Eyes Wilderness Survival's favorite tools for bushcraft and survival. It is strongly against our values to recommend any product that we have not extensively tested and carried. Therefore, any of these tools will be of quality and should last a lifetime. Images are shown with these "carving tools" in their sheaths because of our website platform's rules. Thank you for your understanding and we are looking for another platform which accepts these as normal items that everyone should have for preparedness and crafting. Mora Basic
Great cutting tool for a great price. These are one of the options students can rent for class. This cutting tool has a 3.6 inch cutting edge and comes with a plastic sheath with belt clip. The Mora Basic is the cutting tool provided in the OEWS Basic Kit.
Mora Bushcraft
Similar to the Mora Basic, but thicker, and more robust. The cutting edge measures 4.25 inches. The sheath also has a sharpener and ferro rod too. The Mora Bushcraft is the cutting tool provided in the OEWS Complete and Ultimate Kits.
Outdoor Element Scout Feather
A great cutting tool with lots of features. The Contour Feather sheath comes with a ferro rod and a sharpener. There's also a whistle on the handle. A great lightweight option for hiking and backpacking as well.
Freedom Forge Talon
This knife is designed by Tim Swanson and made by Jackson Mills of Freedom Forge. The Talon Knife has a 3 inch blade and overall length of 7 inches. This is a great every day carry option and works great for bushcraft, carving, and skinning.

Freedom Forge Raptor
This knife is designed by Tim Swanson and made by Jackson Mills of Freedom Forge. The Raptor Knife has a 8 inch blade and overall length of 13 inches. This was designed and created to be a "one-tool option" for survival trips, shelter building, chopping, and wood splitting.

Tops Fieldcraft
With a 4.75 inch long, full-tang blade, this knife is a beast! This knife is a well known bushcraft knife that has been around for years.
Mora Hook Knife
This knife is used for spoon carving and is also useful for carving atlatls. These hook knives come with a leather sheath as well. Make sure you get right or left handed accordingly.
Silky Pocketboy Saw
A folding saw with a 6.7 inch cutting blade. This saw is ultra sharp and moves through wood fast! The Silky Pocketboy is included in the OEWS Complete and Ultimate Kits.
