The biggest killer in the outdoors is environmental exposure, as regulating our core body temperature is one of the most important priorities for survival. This class will be weather dependent as to which shelter we build. We will build a quinzhee from snow or a debris shelter from sticks and leaves.

Shelter is your first line of defense from wind, rain, snow, sun, and air temperature. This class will teach you the essential skills to safely select an area to build a shelter for a survival situation. Clothing selection will also be covered, as proper clothing can make a huge difference in adverse weather.

This class requires the most movement and labor of any class offered by Owl Eyes Wilderness Survival, be prepared to work hard!
