Every custom course is priced specifically to that course. Many factors determine the price once I know: the duration of the program, the number of participants, course content and distance of travel.

A wilderness survival class for those who wish to develop a vast understanding of their local landscape. Learn many earth-based skills!

 

Foundational skills for hikers, backpackers, hunters, trail runners, or anyone wishing to enjoy the outdoors. Survival 3 preps you with outdoor survival and bushcraft skills that will build your confidence, expand your knowledge, and deepen your connection to nature.

This class is a continuation of the Alula Program offered by Owl Eyes Wilderness Survival. This program is for anyone wishing to expand their knowledge and skillset. Students will start at Survival 1- a 6 hour class, and work their way up to Survival 6- a 6 day survival trip. A feather patch is given to show progress at the end of each class.

Survival 3 can be taken after successful completion of Survival 1. Students who finish Survival 2 & 3 will have met the prerequisites to take Survival 4.

Students will be rewarded with a certificate and a patch at the end of this class.

SKILLS COVERED:

  • Axe Use/Safety

  • Fire Building with the Hand Drill

  • Cordage from Plants

  • Fishing Handlines

  • 4 Functional Knots

  • Signaling for Rescue

  • Botanical Navigation

REQUIRED MATERIALS:

  • Fixed blade knife

  • Axe/Hatchet (not required but recommended)

  • Knife sharpener

  • Appropriate clothing for weather

  • Water, lunch, and snacks

  • Notebook and pen
